When signing up for and using the safesynx application, you authorize allsynx to collect your PHI. PHI collected by allsynx includes, but is not limited to your name and email, as well as your health-related responses, including individual symptoms, to the COVID-19 symptom screening survey.

Any information collected from the safesynx website is used by allsynx for the operation of the service, to respond to an email or other inquiry or request, to maintain and/or improve quality of the service, to provide general statistics regarding use of the safesynx Website, to customize your experience of our website, or to send updates or notices about our organization and the products and services that we offer that we think may be of interest to you. allsynx keeps track of the websites and pages our customers visit within safesynx, in order to determine what safesynx services are the most popular. Finally, we may use information collected from the safesynx application to send you push notifications regarding daily health survey reminders, employer or service provider alerts, and emergency alerts. If you wish to opt-out from receiving these types of communications, you may turn them off in your device’s settings.
safesynx uses “cookies” to help you personalize your online experience. A cookie is a text file that is placed on your hard disk by a webpage server. Cookies cannot be used to run programs or deliver viruses to your computer. Cookies are uniquely assigned to you and can only be read by a web server in the domain that issued the cookie to you.
One of the primary purposes of cookies is to provide a convenience feature to save you time. The purpose of a cookie is to tell the web server that you have returned to a specific page. For example, if you personalize safesynx pages, or register with safesynx site or services, a cookie helps safesynx to recall your specific information on subsequent visits. Our Terms and Conditions (the “Terms) set for our obligations as the business associate of our users’ employer or service provider who has implemented the safesynx application. allsynx intends to protect the privacy and provide for the security of individually identifiable health information (“Protected Health Information”) used or disclosed in compliance with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996, Public Law 104 191 (“HIPAA”), and regulations promulgated under HIPAA, including the Standards for Privacy of Individually Identifiable Health Information at 45 C.F.R. Part 160 and Part 164, Subparts A and E (“Privacy Rule”) and the Security Standards for the Protection of Electronic Protected Health Information at 45 C.F.R. Parts 160 and 162 and Part 164, Subparts A and C (the “Security Rule”), as well as any implementing regulations issued by the Department of Health and Human Services (“HITECH”) and other applicable federal and state data privacy laws and regulations.
Additionally, we have in place privacy protection control contractual obligations with our vendors designed to ensure that personal data is protected from unauthorized access or disclosure. All allsynx employees must abide allsynx’s and safesynx’s Privacy Policies and only authorized employees are permitted to have access to personally identifiable data about website visitors. Employee access is limited to what is reasonably needed to perform an employee’s responsibilities, such as providing updates or notices or customer service. Employee who violate our privacy policies are subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination.
allsynx utilizes technical, physical, and administrative safeguards to protect information we collect and store. We store information on encrypted, cloud servers located in the United States. Our employees are trained on the use of protecting privacy and maintain standard security safeguards.
Our service requires a valid email address and password to access the Service. We have taken reasonable precautions to secure the personal information you provide to us but please be aware that despite our efforts, no security measures are perfect or impenetrable, and no method of data transmission can be guaranteed against any interception or other type of misuse. You are solely responsible for: (1) the confidentiality of your email address, password, and any other applicable information, (2) not allowing another person to access your and use your login credentials, (3) any damages that may be incurred as a result of your failure to maintain confidentiality, and (4) promptly informing allsynx of any need to deactivate your user account due to potential or actual security breaches.

To cover internal costs for responding to access requests, allsynx may charge reasonable fee to individuals desiring access to their Personal Information.
The safesynx website and safesynx application do not intentionally collect information from children under the age of 18 years old. safesynx’s website and application are not intended for children and safesynx endeavors to protect the privacy of children with the help of parents and guardians. However, parents or guardians may elect to establish user accounts for their children, and in doing so expressly consent to allsynx’s use of such information as set out in the Terms. If we become aware that we have collected Personal Data from children without verification of parental consent, we take steps to remove that information form our servers.

The safesynx website and safesynx application are intended to be used within the United States only. If you are a resident of the European Economic Area (EEA), please note that this website and application is not to be used outside of the United States. allsynx takes reasonable steps to allow you to correct, amend, or limit the use of your Personal Data. If you wish to be informed about what Personal Data we hold about you and if you want it to be removed from our systems, please contact us.
